Classwork: Today we paused on the achievements of the Incas and instead a writing exercise exploring an article about the rediscovery of Machu Picchu by Hiram Bingham. Kids had to use a certain reading technique to summarize the article. If students successfully found all the words from the word bank, they could then write a summary. if they finished that, they could start their “life in the inca empire was like…” poster.
