Classwork: Today marked the first day of a real lesson for 2019. Yesterday, we went over the Pre-Test, and Monday we did the Pre-test. Concepts covered were
latitude longitude
hemisphere
placing continents, oceans, equator and Prime Meridian on a map correctly.
Landforms
TODAY we did an exercise showing the importance of Latitude and Longitude in locating a place despite being covered in snow, water, or trees. Classes were divided into two groups of cartographers and geologists. They had to construct a map to help their partner find 3 piles of gold only to find that I “destroyed” the classroom on purpose to confuse them.
