Classwork: Today wrapped up our last lesson of Spatial Inequality in Mexico City. The lesson was called Global Connections. We looked at a world map of Human Development Indexes (Standard of Living) and saw how countries scored. Kids made general observations and we had discussion on what would make a country do better than others. Students then took a quiz on the chapter.
Homework: For homework, think about why some countries do better than others for their standard of living.
If you were a leader of a country what would you do to make your country raise their standard of living or HDI index score?
What do you think is the single most important thing to increase a HDI score?
In your own personal life, what can you do to raise your chances for success and rise up the social pyramid?
